On “The Golden Compass”, I was employed at Framestore CFC in London as the Sr Creature TD on the project. I worked on a team of eventually, 14 creature TDs, doing everything from running fur and skin shots, to fixing armour animations and troubleshooting issues that the other creautre TDs ran into.
My main job was writing almost all of our tools for asset creation. This included working with the Lead FX TD and a Jr FX TD on developing a skin jiggle system and a skin sliding system. While they wrote it, I setup how it interfaced into Maya and how the artists accessed it and worked with it.
